Tarpon Anglers Club, LLC announces 2010 “Miller High Life Professional Tarpon Tournament Series” (PTTS) Schedule & More

PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

Boca Grande, FL – 21 February 2010 – Tarpon Anglers Club, LLC, the organizer and producer of the “Miller High Life Professional Tarpon Tournament Series” (PTTS) tournaments and television show, will hold its 2010 PTTS regular series events on: May 23, May 30, June 6, June 13; and the Tarpon Cup Championship on June 22.

“We are very excited about the 2010 season,” said Joe Mercurio, VP/GM of the Tarpon Anglers Club. “Despite difficult economic times the PTTS is growing in 2010, and with the demise of national Redfish tournament circuits, we have emerged as the largest, richest and most visible inshore saltwater fishing tournament in the USA.”

The PTTS held in Boca Grande Pass, FL, is the largest and richest live release Tarpon tournament series in the world.  The series pits the world’s top 50 Tarpon fishing teams in a three hour, head to head, gunwale to gunwale battle for a series purse payout of over $250,000 in cash and prizes.  The PTTS events are filmed and broadcast as a 13-week, one hour television show on Sun Sports and the World Fishing Network.  Teams may weigh in one fish daily to win weekly prizes, and accrue points for the Team of the Year Race based on weighing and releasing Tarpon, placing in the Top 5 during the events, and obtaining DNA samples from Tarpon caught.
